Faith Academy football is taking another road trip
The Faith Academy of Marble Falls football team is back on the road trying to even its record.
The Flames (1-2) are traveling to face Barksdale Nueces Canyon for a 7 p.m. kickoff Friday, Sept. 20, in search of their first road win of the season.
The Panthers (0-3) are searching for their first win. They’ve lost to Baird 46-0, Highland 62-14 and Richland Springs 57-0.
Still, head coach Jay Silvers and the Flames believe Nueces Canyon is planning to give its best effort.
Offensively, the Panthers rely on their rushing attack.
“They are a run-heavy team,” Silvers said. “They like to run tight. They will throw the ball, but everything is tight formations.”
The Flames will rely on their quickness to get their offense going.
“We’re going to have to use our speed on them,” Silvers said. “We’re going to mix and match players in different areas.”
Look for Faith to continue to rely on senior Carter Fromberg, junior Andrew Houy and freshman Landon Silvers to kickstart the offense.
The Flames are looking to get back into the win column after losing to Fredericksburg Heritage 52-14 Sept. 13 after mercy-ruling Runge 82-32 Sept. 6.
